Let’s save 1 million trees in 2013!
Over the years, Arborjet has saved a lot of trees: 200,000 in 2010, 350,000 in 2011, and 850,000 in 2012. Never content to rest on our laurels, we've decided that 2013 is the year we'll save 1 MILLION TREES through revolutionary trunk injection treatments!
The public is invited to join Arborjet; the Greenway Fields Homes Association; and Bret Cleveland of Urban Tree Specialists at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, June 18 at Strawn Park (63rd Street and Valley Road) in Kansas City, Missouri, for an update to the tree census performed by residents of the Greenway Fields Homes Association and demonstration of trunk injection with TREE-äge® Insecticide.
Arbor Day kickoff
Though each state has the power to declare its own Arbor Day (and many do, especially because planting zones vary so greatly from region to region), National Arbor Day falls on the last Friday in April, making April 26, 2013 the big day this year. And what better day than this to kick off our Million Tree Challenge™?
To mark the commencement of the Million Tree Challenge, Arborjet is donating trunk injection treatments to protect 50 of the most highly-valued trees in Kansas City, a Tree City USA community, from EAB. We were in Kansas City on April 27 for the first symbolic treatment along with a demonstration of the trunk injection technologt during the Greenway Fields Tree Census and Arbor Day Celebration. The rain didn't dampen our spirits and all in attendance learned about the value of the urban forest.
